Conditions Hypoaspis miles prefers moist conditions and temperatures between 15°C and 30°C. Feeding and egg laying ceases below 12°C. Technical Information Hypoaspis miles is a soil dwelling predatory mite which lives on several soil living pests. Females are up to 1mm long and pale brown. Nymphs are almost white. Adults are capable of surviving for several weeks without the presence of food. H. miles can also contribute to the control of thrips where pupation takes place on the soil or compost.
