Introduction Rates Introduce 5 per m2. Higher numbers may be necessary in severe infestations. Conditions Adults are active during sunny conditions and temperatures above 20°C. They are inactive at temperatures below 15°C and should therefore be used during summer months only. Storage » Preferably use on day of receipt or within 1-2 days if stored in darkness at 10-15°C. Technical Information Cryptolaemus eggs are laid into mealy bug egg masses. The larval stage looks like an oversized mealy bug up to 1cm in length, and should not be confused with the pest. When fully grown the larvae pupate in cracks and crevices or on fallen leaves. The life cycle takes about 25 days at 30°C and 50 days at 20°C. Adult females can lay ten eggs per day and live for several weeks.
