Technical Information Aphidius colemani is a small parasitic wasp. Adults are about 2mm long. Eggs are laid into the aphid which continues to feed and develop. The hatched larva feeds internally on the aphid eventually killing it after 7 to 14 days. The larva then pupates within the aphid which gives the aphid the characteristic mummy appearance. The silvery brown mummies should start to appear in the crop two weeks after the first introductions. Aphidius colemani is effective on small isolated patches of aphids and the adult female can lay up to 100 eggs during her life time.
