Founded in 1987, BCP Certis, formerly Biological Crop Protection Ltd, provides a broad range of technologies, crop protection solutions and highly qualified technical support to growers of speciality crops in ten European countries, plus further a field in Japan.
BCP Certis is a branch of the high value speciality crop protection company Certis Europe BV.
In the UK BCP Certis works directly with growers, and via several leading horticultural distributors, to provide advice and integrated control products and solutions. In Europe we supply growers via a network of specialist horticultural distributors with high levels of IPM expertise and fully trained agronomists. In Spain and the Netherlands, BCP Certis markets its IPM products and solution through Certis Spain and Certis Netherlands.
In other territories BCP Certis licences its technology to partner companies.

IPM advice
Quality technical support is an essential component of IPM and synonymous with our SURE brand. BCP Certis’ dedicated technical team have over 100 years experience of developing and advising on IPM strategies.
The technical team, led in the UK by Simon Jones and in Europe by Ward Stepman, is on hand to advise growers on all aspects of IPM including monitoring techniques, when to release insects in the crop and at what rate. BCP Certis produces and supplies all key beneficials and pollinators via its SURE brand of products. A primary producer for over 20 years, the beneficial insects and mites are harvested to order. All SURE products are produced to IOBC quality standards and supplied with a best before date.
Soft pesticides
BCP Certis’ award winning IPM compatible soft pesticide Eradicoat™ is widely used to aid in resistance management programme for pesticides, to correct pest hot spots and as a blanket treatment. Eradicoat can be used in IPM programmes alongside beneficials and has organic approval in the UK.
Pesticide side effects testing
As a branch or Certis Europe BV, BCP Certis’ R&D team operates a detailed side effects testing programme. Issues of incompatibility can arise from time to time when an active ingredient interferes with the performance of one or more beneficial insect and / or mite. In depth knowledge of any side effects is often a vital component of reliable and profitable IPM programmes. Held on a database the information is used to support BCP Certis' IPM recommendations. Tests can be conducted on the request of clients.
Licenced production technology
